I just recently went to see "Star Wars in Concert" (great, btw) and it just made me want the soundtracks even more done correctly. They have been re-released way too many times on cd...its about time for a 5.1 effort

I got my set in the mail this morning!

I had to run to work so I didn't have a lot of time. I loaded RotK to see Riders of Rohan march to victory.

Freaking unbelievable. I think I need to get better audio equipment because I just wanted to turn it up louder and louder. Superb sound and clarity.

The PQ was also extremely impressive. I obviously haven't seen the FotR however in the 10 minutes I have seen this was already worth $50.

I can't wait to watch all three with my wife on the weekend.

Hopefully it isn't like Avatar two; now that was the Gladiator of it's time...
I beg to differ good sir Watching in motion is for morons that aren't that don't understand audio video science.

I agree, Avatar Two: Quest for BluBerries clearly suffered in the post-production process.

Nice Plasma

I must admit when I watched TTT I kept wanting to turn it up louder n louder

What I did notice on TTT was some vocal clipping during a couple of scenes which I wasn't too impressed about, but as it was about 5 seconds worth throughout the entire movie I can let that slide (just) Although I find it odd that no reviewers picked up on it as it's clearly there (even after turning down to -20db)

It's probably blu titan and jwbbud but honestly I think if it wouldn't cause more trouble than it helped, I would suggest closing this thread until April 6. That said, there are SO many scenes in these 3 films that I can't wait to see, like Moria, Helm's Deep and the Ents destroying Isengard.

That would make traffic in the forum much more quieter if they close this thread

There are alot of subtle scenes I am waiting to see on the BD's, such as in RoTK, where Gandalf waits in the courtyard while Faramir leads the cavalry of Gondor to destruction. Also some of the CGI should look awesome, for example the rescue of Frodo and Sam from Mt. Doom by the eagles.

The one scene I really want to see is the riders of Rohan charge at the Pelennor Fields. That entire scene from the moment they arrive and Theoden speech and their charge, just amazing for me.
