I don't expect a new Predator disc to look much better than the current disc, but if the new version has all the extras from the DVD + maybe a free ticket for the new film, I'll probably get it. I'm sure the US is getting this same set if it's popping up on all the foreign sites. Fox has plenty of time to announce it and get it out before the new film hits in July.

There are areas where improvement could definitely be made. The audio is rough in several places, to the point that you can audibly tell when they're dubbing in dialog. There's a few shot that are in major need of cleanup, such as when they drop from the helicopter in the beginning and the very wide shot of Dutch falling off the cliff into the water. Overall the film is pretty grey; I bet some clean-up could restore a lot of contrast and breath new life into it.

Yeah, only one running time is shown on IMDb, the extended thing is totally new to me also...

Insiders say there's nothing wrong with the transfer, it's the nature of the film thus it looks like it looks, only natural.

So, a remaster won't mean much.
