im pretty sure they will be region locked since they are delaying the HD DVD release of them (because they are region free) because those movies are still showing at theaters still around the world and they don't want to miss out on that cash.

I Thought New Line Cinema Had Something To Do With Warner Bros Or Maybe I'am Wrong On That Rush Hour 3 Is On The Warner Web Site And All Warner Bros Blu-Rays Until Now Are Region Free.So Why Not Rush Hour 3 & Shoot'em Up Strange Don't You Thing.

I bed to disagree. I had the US "Phantom of the Opera" released by Warner but replaced it with the German blu-ray release by Concorde, also region-free, but far superior in the audio department (dts HD instead of the meager Dolby Digital 5.1 of the US blu-ray). Even though I am from Europe I only have a region A machine and so far I avoided region B discs, I only have a couple of all-region European discs.

Does anybody know if the Fox-Pathé releases from France are locked to region B or region free? I am specifically interested in "Ne le dis a personne", "Renaissance" and "Transporteur 2". Can anybody please help me?

Yes, you are right. I just watched U-571 from EiV and it played fine on my region A Panasonic. The disc, however, has one huge disadvantage: Contrary to the indication on the back cover EiV reformatted the film's original aspect ratio of 2.40:1 to 1.78:1. This sucks bigtime as it takes away a lot of the film's cinematic splendor. Otherwise image and audio quality (dts HD) are very good.

I'm sure that this has probably been raised a bunch of times already but I'm new to this site. Im from the UK and have a PS3. Blade Runner The Final Cut is not being released in the full 5 disc set on Blu Ray, only the new version of the movie is being made available on a single disc with little or no extras. I want to pre order the 5 disc set fom the states because I hear Warner discs are region free. Has anybody got any thoughts on this? Any advice would be great

we are all aware of your guide to region free but when the worlds largest etailer says a title is region free you tend to trust them so give him a break at least those of us who were missled have helped increase blu sales in usa

I don't think I bashed anyone by saying that the rough guidelines usually are correct. I would love if all titles was region free because I think everybody gets pissed of on a format if you buy a disc and can't play it in your player for that format.
