My receiver was without power for about 4 hours today, I will try unplugging it again to see if this helps

Sometimes with surges, outages, etc., the chip gets scrambled, unplugging the unit to drain power from the chip sometimes will allow it to reset, if this doen't work, the video board might have taken a spike, and then you should just contact the place you bought it from, and try to get it replaced. Wish you luck My Friend! D.

alright, i'll leave it unplugged all night & try her in the morning and if its still wacky I guess i'll be calling Onkyo. Since I just bought it there should be no problems with them repairing/replacing it, its been 5 months

Well then, you'll get there eventually, just be patient for now and simply unpacked the older receiver while this one get repaired.
