Default Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning

AVAILABLE AGAIN!

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning Blu-ray

Does anyone know if this is really happening or not. I haven't heard one peep about this. And It's due in just over a week. Or is this going to be like how Jeppers Creepers was suppose to come out and than didn't. If it is coming out it will be a day one for me.

Coming out in one week, no cover art, and not hearing much about it being released???
Probably not coming out next week....
I wish this would come out in the US.

Just because the coverart hasn't been released doesn't mean it's not coming out on time (the Alliance release of Halloween 6-8 had no coverart for a while). I made a thread about this a month or so ago; it'll still probably be released on July 6th.

It's still strange that there's no cover art or anything. At least for US releases, some art is revealed and it's mentioned a bit more than this was. I only heard rumors about this being a Canadian Exclusive, but no official word. Sounds kind of underground, if you ask me.

Alliance is a small distributor who does not have the resources of the Hollywood studios. Just because cover art is missing so far means nothing regarding the eventual release.

I'm not saying it WON'T be released at all. Just usually in most situations with Blu-Rays I've seen, when there isn't much talk about it and there's no cover art, usually means it's not coming out on the exact date that's posted. I could be wrong for Canadian releases though, since I don't usually buy releases from Canada. I usually buy stuff from the UK and the US.

I expect it to come out on the stated release date. Canadian exclusive titles from Alliance tend to not get detailed (full specs/cover art/advance reviews) until after they are released. In many situations the description on the box is also wrong so many wait until word from other fans trickles out about the details. I wouldn't expect a US release anytime soon though.

Just caught this on HBO HD last night and wondered why its not on blu yet... wish it would just come out already. Its not like they need to be holding onto the release for any reason.

Jeepers Creepers was when I realized Hollywood might be giving real horror movies a chance. Besides Scream and those like it the '90s was weak for Holloywood horror. Now low budget horror was awesome.

Yeah.. Jeepers Creepers was a Innovative original horror film.. and was different from most Horror pictures..
it kind of brought the horror genre out of the darkness

I'm not exactly happy that a lot of these decent horror movies aren't getting Blu-Ray releases anytime soon in the US, or even Canada for that matter.
Jeepers Creepers and The Hills Have Eyes remake are both included.
I know that Jeepers Creepers has a release either in the UK or Germany and The Hills Have Eyes has one in the UK, but I would like one to be released for region A.
I wonder what's making all of these companies hold back on these releases...

But horror has proved to rank in huge bucks if sold properly and at the right price. Especially these more mainstream horror flicks. This is why I appreciate Lionsgate a lot. (As you can tell by my avatar haha.)
They put nearly every movie they have on Blu-Ray alongside the DVD. Only time they don't is when it's direct-to-DVD and they know won't do well. This has only happened with a few titles, such as The Descent 2 and Cabin Fever 2.
I wish Lionsgate got most horror movie rights, that way we'd get many more superb 7.1 audio tracks and much faster releases!!

I agree, many of my favorite movies won't hit Blu-Ray for a very long time. It sucks. I hate it when a ton of crappy movies from years back get releases and the GOOD ones get ignored.

I just hate how expensive some of the titles are from Germany. They get tons of horror on Blu-Ray, but it's so much more expensive (not the shipping, the price of the item itself).
Movies from the UK are generally cheap, but I'm not crazy about the cases being thicker, but I love my Eden Lake Blu-Ray from the UK.

Is that region free? I want to pick that up. Also got the UK American Werewolf and the Dawn and Day of the Dead BD from Arrow coming. I emailed them about the 5 upcoming Argento BD and those are region free.
