Basically what I'm trying to say is that the red line is not HD-DVD. The red line is Blu-ray.

We all know that Blu-ray has been around before HD-DVD. That is why there is only one line at first and then the second line comes into play. That's how I know for sure that the colors have been swapped. That needs to be changed. People will think that HD-DVD searches have always been above Blu-ray. That is a bad thing.

Does anyone know how we can address this?

Talk to Google. The graph comes from them. Click it and do some playing.

I played with it already. It is simply a role reversal. HD-DVD did not start before Blu-ray. I use to watch these graphs (especially the countries). If you look under languages, they are saying that Blu-ray searches are almost non-existent under Japanese. Everyone should know that's BS.

I was kinda looking for a bit more detail than "talk to Google" (if anyone has dealt with this type of thing before).

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound flip. I have a lot of problems with thedvdwars site, but errors by Google shouldn't be used against thedvdwars. The graph has been there for a while, and the reversal occured this past week.

The graph is now revisionist, implying HD DVD has always been queried more. Everywhere. Yes, the BD numbers in Japan are clearly bogus.

Google is the one to contact to ask about the validity of the results. If you do it from a point of asking for clarification and curiosity, I'm sure they'd respond.

There doesn't seem to be a way to report this type of issue. Even the corporate phone number lead you nowhere. That's what I figured though. Has anyone dealt with Google before (in a problem reporting capacity)?

Personally I don't think it's got anything to do with Google. It's how often you use Google search, and how often you Google Blu-ray, and how often you read items on Blu-ray, and IF you have a Gmail account.

Paid advertisements is a Google thing. You can't blame them for putting their advertisers at the top of the list. Google can't be blamed for FUD blogs and websites either.

In the end, the way you can affect how the war is going is to vote with your wallet and either tell everyone you know not to buy into the HD-DVD FUD or start your own BD blog. Or do all three.

Cheating or not, the "Salesrank of top 10 products" category shows BD trending upward. What will they do when BD is on top of that category too?

I here what you're saying about supporting the format with your wallet (which I do). It is Google's fault with this graph. Maybe I did make it clear enough. I have watched this graph. If HD DVD queries had normally surpassed Blu-ray's, the graph lines would have crossed at some point. That did not happen. One just took the place of the other (you know...like Freaky Friday...LOL).
