The DVD is available through Criterion, so if it comes out on Blu-ray I imagine they're the guys who would release it. They announce releases at least a few months out and I see nothing on their site mentioning an impending Blu-ray release. Email your suggestion to them. I do all the time.

Tokyo Story is a great movie by the way.

thanks for the response! it sucks only region 2 people get to enjoy this beautiful movie on blu ray
