Default I'm done.

Ok, I'm done with CHCanada.

I patiently waited two months for a movie to be delivered. Of course my credit card was charged at the moment of ordering. I finally sent a customer service e-mail inquiring about the order...

Unfortunately, the item listed below is no longer available through the
Club. We regret having to disappoint you.

635293 Kung Fu Panda - Blu-ray

Your credit card will be refunded in 3 - 5 business days, in the amount
of $15.76.
Now wait a minute -- just how long did they know about this? Why did they allow me to order this and take my money when there wasn't enough inventory to fulfill the order at the time? They also had the audacity to keep my money all this time.

Forget it, no more orders or recommendations for CHCanada.

Nothing new with CHCanada or ColumbiaHouse.ca. It seems they'll never improve. Yes some people will say that everything works fine for them but wait and see how annoyed they are when you get "shipped" something and then find out months later it was never even available. I stopped ordering last year.

I'm normally willing to put up with some delays, even up to a month -- as long as the product is guaranteed to be delivered.

If CH had proactively refunded my money as soon as the product showed as unavailable, I'd have some respect left. As it is, it looks as if they're keeping our money and earning interest on it to keep the company going. Not saying this is true, but it sure looks bad.

Honestly CH, how long were you going to hold my money?

Hey, just stopped by to say Hello. Hi!

CHCanada, I used to buy a lot (a dozen memberships at a time) but no more now, as I can get BDs for only $3 a piece from all those video stores that are closing all over the map!

I'm all over this one if I can find something else to go with it. Too bad the 1941 original is only available via BDLive and not in the box... that would have been a nice package!

If you're just looking for something else for free shipping, the code 15DCT still works.

I was... thanks! Couldn't remember the code (and too lazy to look )

Wolfman is up for $13.99 now and Book of Eli is on for $16.99 (I think this is new this week)

Book of Eli was $16.99 last week too. The site is getting a bit hard to follow. seems like items are going on sale for more than just 1 week at a time now, which is actually better I guess.

According to the CHC rep, LuckyGold, over on RFD, the other special this week is Edge of Darkness for $15.99. I missed that one in the confusion...

White Ribbon was supposed to be part of the sale a week or two ago, and it was on sale for $17.99, IIRC. Definitely harder to pick out the sales.

The excellent Rush documentary, Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage, is on for $16.99 this week. I'm guessing this is the steelbook as I haven't seen a regular-case version of it anywhere.

15% discount still available with "15dct".

Actually if you asked me this morning I wouldn't remember, but I saw it again at lunch at Best Buy. $23.99 for the Amaray version.

Yes, there is a regular 1-Disc edition which comes in a regular Blu-Ray case. The Steel Book Edition is the way to go, includes 4 Discs (1 BD/1 DVD/2 Audio CD's)
