Default What does my collection need?

I've been selling my DVDs and using that money to slowly build my Blu Ray collection over the last two months and I've built I think a pretty solid collection so far. My question is, oh Blu Rayers of experience and wisdom, what am I missing? Where do I go next? Advise me, my senseis!

Black Hawk Down
Master and Commander
Blade Runner
Cloverfield
The Thing

Just a few to start you off with. So far your collection is coming along nicely, you have about the same taste in films as I do.

Excellent suggestions so far, guys. I am in fact waiting for the ultimate edition since Cameron was kind enough to let us know he'd be double dipping us, so that's deliberate. Black Hawk Down would already be there, but my concern is that on the DVD I have, there's an amazing documentary and wealth of special features and I don't think they're on the Blu are they? Otherwise it's an instapurchase. These are great, guys, anyone with advice pour it on. I'm an unabashed addict!

Keep the Black Hawk Down DVD, and if the Blu Ray is that superior buy it then sell the movie and keep the extras disc. (Assuming its a 2-Disc). I'll Suggest:

-Monsters Inc
-Up
-Cars
-Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs
-Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy
-Freddy v Jason (Canadian Release)
-The Simpsons Movie
-Transformers
-Transformers 2
-Rambo (2009) (Non-Directors Cut) (The Non directors Cut has more blood/violence, the Directors cut has better movie flow with added scenes)

Ones to pass on:

-The Terminator
-Terminator 2: Judgment Day
-Reservoir Dogs
-Robocop

I say pass on them because the transfers are very flat, empty and nothing special whatsoever and they're nothing an up converted DVD can't match. They're great movies, but unless you can get them for under $5-10, they're not worth it.

If you have a surround sound system, you need to get War of the Worlds. It sounds superb! The AQ is top notch! The PQ is very grainy, but that's the way Spielberg intended for it to look.

You defenitely have very solid collections there but my suggestion is to pick up:

Avatar
Sin City
Independence day
Final fantasy, the advent children
King Kong
Serenity

PQ/AQ are excellent, also not sure if you like martial arts movies, theres some you can add to your collection

What martial arts films would your recommend? I have Kung Fu Hustle and Fearless. I have the reissue of Hero preordered. That's among my favorite films and I guess there were a bunch of problems with the first release. I saw there's a three pack of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon/House of the Flying Daggers/Curse of the Golden Flower but is it any good (pq/aq wise and extras?). These are great ideas all, I'm so appreciative for the advice.
