Seems like it's 50/50. I also have a PS3 and I've had issues before that were just because of the internet, turned it off and was fine. Hopefully everyone gets their problems fixed.
I will see if the Internet is to blame tonight.

Mine was on and it still worked, so I'm not sure what it could be honestly.

After exchanging my office season 6 blu ray, I had the same problem with the freezing disc. I found this forum and started to play around with the settings on my ps3. Here is what I found to work. In the ps3 menu, 1.Video Settings
2.BD internet connection. 3. Change to "Confirm" 4. When option comes up after putting in disc for allow bd live, choose "no". 5. Enjoy the office season 6 disc 1 without all the annoying freezing.
This worked for me, hope it works for the rest of you.

No, it has nothing to do with the internet settings. Mine is not hooked up to the internet at all and it skips and freezes.

I've searched all over and cannot seem to find the magical keywords.... How are you suppose to take the blu rays out of the packaging the way they're meant to be taken out?

Also, my blu ray (samsung) hangs loading disc 1 everytime. I guess I'll take it back to Target and consider getting DVD. Anyone else resort to this yet?

The way to get the dvds out of the packaging is to put your finger in the dvd hole, push the dvd down (towards the bottom of the packaging). The plastic springs will push down, allowing you to get the disc out of the the little tabs located at the 10 and 2 positions. On a side note, I am really disappointed that they cut the opening from "koi pond"...instead I had to download the episode, burn it to a disc, then add it to the blu ray collection. There have been parts of other shows that offended people, but they still put the whole episode on the disc...I paid for season 6, and did not receive the original airing, anyone else upset about this?
