My point is, everything that you have said is stating the obvious.

Except the part about how bad some of the ps1 and ps2 "stuff" were.

That got to me, what stuff were you referring to?

the very 1st models of the PS2 were faulty...after the 1st wave, they were fine...I was a victim myself..

having said that....the 360 has 4 versions I think and all are equally as buggy...

I own the very first PS2 model as well. It went odd on me and says "read disc error" or something like that. So yes, I also was a victim of that, but that's ok. That was easily dealt with. But Red ring of death? That issue goes on for ages. Even now it still does that.

First wave of PS2 were indeed faulty. That I admit.

exactly...I heard they fixed the problem on the Halo 360 models...

when it gets the ring of death, it dies and resurrects itself with a halo above it and keeps running...

they call it the 2nd coming engine...I wish my PS3 could do that!!!

too bad I won't have to worry about mine dying..since I own a PS3...and not a rushed product...

and i know vista will get thrown in here as the worst os ever. but obviously nobody remembers 95, 98, me, etc. at the release of all of their new os' there were tons of complaints, but as time went on. they got less buggy and more stable. the same is happening with vista right now. people are just too stubborn and blind to see.

all that being said, i've never liked microsoft.
The main point here is not that we are Anti Microsoft but that Microsoft actually sucks. If anyone is being ignorant here it's the 360 owners who refuse to admit their system is a nothing but a over heating POS that M$ created just to push Windows into the home media center so that 10 years from now our HD TV's over heat and crash because they too are powered by windows. I know you think we are being bias but lets look at the facts here
1. The PS1 was virtually bug free all it's life cycle

2. The disc read errors were delt with and while bad were no where near the massive level of 360 failures

3. When the PS2's broke Sony fixed them for free (yes it took a near class action law suit but like you said no one is perfect) Microsoft still does not fix 360's they send you another one that will break again.

4. Sony is not buying companies off, charging people for every little thing (seriously gamer pics? Dashboard themes, demos? come on your getting raped)

and reguardless of a time frame M$ is just trying to trick it's already stupified adopters in to paying even more and liking the idea of it. I had a 360 11 of them in fact and after the way I was treated by them you think I am going to feel any different? As far as I am concerned the only people who are blind/ignorant are the 360 users who think there is nothing wrong with M$ or the 360.

oh and Win 95,98, and especially ME never got more stable they just got replaced and forced people to buy M$'s new more stable product. 95 still crashes every 10mins, 98 still uses cheese cloth for security, and ME was such a disaster no one even wants to remember it. It doesnt matter how you look at it Sony is no where near as bad as M$ and despite the fact I think they are trying to ruin gaming neither is Nintendo. Microsoft stands as one of the worst companies of our time, pushing their products and ideas with ignorant fans and a bank account big enough to make anything disappear. Outside of actually coming out and saying "Yes we are slowly but surely screwing all of our consumers, and trust us you wont care" they can't get much worse.

I think HD-DVD fan-boys fit right into that category as well.

Too bad from what I hear, not very many people like that model.

To be honest, I think the color itself looks like sh*t. Just in my opinion though. No big.

Ouch, my bad.

So does this mean "they" never did fix it? No second coming engine?

That sucks even more. For them anyways.

I just let my monthly subscription die. They make the payment by credit card mandatory because of people like me who give the information and hardly notice teh monthly charge. I realized the charge after they emailed me and wanted me to update my credit card information. That reminded me that I had originally given them my credit card, that they had been charging me for a year (monthly), and that I have played online perhaps 3 times over that period. All that equals, stuff it MS, I'll stick with my PS3 thank-you! 100 bucks could have filled up my car 1.23 times
