HDdvd fans getting desperate...? - Blu-ray Forum

I am neutral and support both format HD DVD and Blu-ray. I own HD DVD player add-on, 36 HDDVD. I have been planning to get both formats since last year. Before I got first HD DVD, I had some hd dvd and Blu-ray wishlist, it was smaller wishlist. Today, I have about 200+ Blu-ray and HD DVD combine on my wishlist.

I am no longer buy many DVD movies, it will be very small addition of DVD movies this year and larger addition of Blu-ray and HD DVD movies.

Last month, I almost brought Little Man dvd verison at Best Buy, but I hold it off because I would get it on Blu-ray. I am glad that I wait it out so I can get one on Blu-ray instead of DVD.

I am awaiting for price of Blu-ray standalone to go down and have an ability to update the firmwire through internet connection and have some features that support interactive on Blu-ray discs.

Playstation 3 is only capable to do that to update firmwire and cost less than standalone player on market.

Cost of Playstation 3 is not issue.

Only thing I am concern is that can Playstation 3deliever the correct scale as 1080i, 1080p, 720p rather than downconvert to 480p and 720p.

I have been stand back and seen how they act and talk in negative way and bashing at each other last two months in another forums.
I know that it is small precentage of fanboys who is not neutral as I am.

Yes, I did read some forum that called Decent a fake PiP. I don't care if it is fake or not.

So, I am new to Blu-ray forum and I am not new to the Blu-ray disc format. I have aware of it and keep track of that format last 3 years. One of Things have not changed last 3 years for Blu-ray, that they have a greater storage 25gb and 50gb.

I will be happy to learn more about details on PS3 and how it work with 720p, and 1080i tv. I know that interaction on PS3 is more similar to PSP.
So, I have HDTV, Sony Bravia KDL-402010. It work beautiful with HD DVD add-on and it display at 1080i. I don't want end up with PS3 that can't get me to 1080i when I want to watch Blu-ray. I do not have enough information and I want to know if it stay at 1080i with my hdtv set.
I will use HDMI with PS3 when I get $599.99 high-end Playstation 3 in future.

Anyone can pm me or provide me some more information about PS3 with HDTV set.

I am crazy movie fan, formats don't matter to me. All I care about that I collect movies in High Definition.

Don't worry about what HD DVD camp are talking against Blu-ray. Be yourself and be happy with what you have.
