I went to two different Best Buys, two Targets and a Circuit City and they were all sold out.

Saw a copy of the Case Super Special Edition today at HMV in Montreal. That this is HEAVY for just 1 movie. It's all Plastic, but it's at last 2x larger than the HP set.. The case inside seemed to be a Normal BluRay case, like the back was saying

i got Ultimate collector Blade Runner and checked the limited # on the btm, all the left BluRay version r 2200 up out of 2500 copies, while HD DVD i checked were at 700 out of 2500, now u all know what they mean!!! lol

it's about right a 3:1 ration.

oh may I add, i'm not impressed with this limited edition, a stupit toy car and a small unicorn, and really not worth paying 2.5 more for this one, I suggest u all just buy the regular one.

Ok. After reading all of the Blade Runner comments, I decide that I do not want to wait for Amazon to ship. I had ordered RoboCop and Rescue Dawn from the Fox Bogo with Balde Runner. So I cancel Blade Runner, only to find out that the $27.95 promotion was removed from the order I sen an e-mail to Amazon, and hopefully they will fix it, or I will cancel the whole thing.

Odd, my Amazon order is now back to "Items not yet shipped" from being on "shipping soon" earlier in the day.

agreed.

I don't know what the fuss is about, I found it to be a very very dull movie.

I expect it will move about the same numbers as star trek tos dvd / hd-dvd combo did, outside of a select group of hard core afficionados; there is little demand, thus stores are not stocking it.

It's true if you don't believe fine, WB only has HDDVD in house since it was easier and cheaper to upgrade their in houses DVD makers with HDDVD making equipment.

Wink I couldn't wait on Amazon!

While I have ordered many of my 40 Blu-Ray movies from Amazon, I just couldn't wait for the 5-Disc Complete Collector's Edition to be shipped. I just walked into my local Hastings (Lawton, Ok) and the young manager went into the back storeroom and came out with my copy. I only had to pay $26.99. I think they give a $3 discount when you pick up movies on the release day.

Anyway, all 5 versions of the movie are in 1080P. There are two other discs that are standard DVDs, but these are the making of kind of discs. The movies themselves are in clear colorful 1080P display!

If that's true, how would HD DVDs slip into Blu-ray cases like on Harry potter movies or HD DVD info slips slip into various warner Blu-ray titles? (the ones that say update your firmware)

I wasn't aware that Warner had their own DVD production facility... Surely they have a packing warehouse place (like every studio that handles DVDs), but an actual production line... and one equipped with HD DVD? That doesn't sound right.

None of what you say makes much sense
