True, that. Universal has the European rights and a blu-ray release has been announced for Sweden on June 8. If we haven't heard anything about a Touchstone US release by then I'll probably import a copy - assuming it's a decent transfer. But Universal seems to be doing a better job of catalog release in Europe than here at home - Universal's Shakespeare in Love France & UK blu-ray is very good.

If it's region free, I'm in. Love this movie!

Everett: Deceitful, two-faced she-woman. Never trust a female, Delmar, remember that one simple precept and your time with me will not have been ill spent.

Along with the rest of the Coen Bros. movies, this definitely needs a quality release. It would be interesting to see how well it holds up, considering it's the first movie that had a complete Digital Intermediate. Hopefully the quality will be up to par.

"O' Brother, Where Art Thou?" has been announced for a Blu-Ray release on September 13, 2011. I am hoping they give it the deluxe treatment, but based on the pre-order price at Amazon of $18.95 I'd say that's not going to be the case. They have to save that for later so they can make us buy the same film over and over again of course! At least now we'll be able to see it in High-def, so that's good news indeed! I for one intend to R-U-N-N down to my local store to buy it for sure, that is if it doesn't take them two weeks to order me one! LOL!
