Regarding Weinstein, wasn't there some talk from them about intentions to release films on Blu-Ray quite some time ago?
I guess none of it really matters anyways though, since they've pretty much been MIA for HD DVD for a long time now.

there was a rumor that they were going to release grind house on bluray but that was months ago.

They were going to release both over seas on both formats but Weinstein got a court order to block the release on HDM, must be until they release it over here first, so they don't lose sales here for people importing it.
