I would say any Blu Ray movie would make your 5.1 set up sound great. Here are a couple of movies that I remember having great AQ (audio quality):
Cars Ratatouille Live Free or Die Hard 300 Fantastic Four - Rise of the Silver Surfer etc...... Where you will really hear a BIG difference is when you can listen to the lossless audio tracks (PCM, Dolby TrueHD or DTS HD Master Audio). If you can afford the newer receivers with the ability to decode these audio codecs, go for it. I don't regret for one second upgrading my AVR. |
