I have the Alliance released and it is good enough for me. PQ looks great IMO. So I'm passing on this released.

You're gonna love it. I've got the Canadian version in Blu and the dance is the best part. Hadn't watched it since I got rid of our old tube TV and the non-anamorphic DVD. Every guy in the bar was drooling in that scene and I don't think they were acting .....

Huh? Last time I checked, a very young Tarantino was given the assignment (by Howard Berger, I believe) to write a vampire movie, which he did. RR was hired to direct, but it is QT's script all the way.

Tarantino wrote the entire script, and initially was going to direct it. How is the vampire stuff Rodriguez's?

I remember not knowing anything about the story and heard or read that they both had an idea... so they decided to combine the two stories.

I know I didn't just make that up. But might have been given wrong info. I should check IMDB.

The thing that made it sound legit is that there are technically two movies in it. A "men on the run film"... and a "vampire film", so it sounded good to me.

I thought this was the case too, but according to IMDB, Tarantino wrote the whole thing. And he had two other directors in mind before going with Rodriguez.

Tarantino wrote the whole thing. He said he'd love to write a script that takes a 90 degree turn in the middle and turn into a vampire movie for no apparent reason. I, on the other hand, think the first half is the better half because you get some actual character. I always wondered what would happen if the brothers never went to the bar.

I found this article online it explains that Echo Bridge is in agreement with Miramax to distribute 251 titles in the US.

It looks like they have aquired Alliance, so it might be the same discs. IE no extras on dusk till dawn.

had the strangest inclination Echo may have purchased Alliance. Now its confirmed. Dammit. If this is a direct port of the Alliance disc then that means the audio may still be way too dynamic for its own good. For those that dont know, the Alliance release was very good...the PQ and AQ were both satisfactory. The only issue was that the audio was wild...one scene its all dialouge and its at a normal pitch, then BOOM, some action goes down and the sound just gets really raucous. I find myself lowering and upping the volume constantly when watching this thing. I hope Echo fixes the problem. Fingers crossed.

I'm worry about From Dusk till dawn will have no english subtitles, because Echo Bridge Home Entertainment blu rays don't english subtitles. it is suck, I want Lionsgate own From dusk till dawn, because Lionsgate always have english subtitles!
