Default Digital Copies

Never had a use for Digital Copies before, and as such only about a third of my collection has them. Finally do have a use for them (IPad), and discover that about half of the copies I do have are expired.

I guess I understand the marketing aspect of putting an expiry date; encourage people to buy new releases when they come out... but the fact that only about half of the titles have any expiry date would suggest that not all studios have the same philosophy.

Given that the code is presumably unique and I have paid for the copy, it's disappointing that half of my disks are no longer transferable. In hindsight I should have been downloading them at the time of purchase even if I didn't have a device to upload them to.

Is there anything I can do to 'unexpire' them? I'm talking legitimately... has anyone had success writing or appealing to a studio? Or maybe I'm alone in my stupidity!
