Yeah, it works enough for me. The first is a bonafide classic and this isnt on that level. But, its solid - I got a used copy for $8 bucks. Perfect.

Yep. I found the exclusive 3-disc version at a pawnshop recently and I found myself enjoying it more on home video than in theaters.

It seems to be a pretty viable franchise. Heck it still can go the DTV route if the studios really want to squeeze it.

Despite it's flaws this was still better than all of the AvP movies combined. That being said, if they make another one and say it's dtv.....it'll probably revert back to AvP quality. I'd rather have nothing than go backwards.

To me, Predators was extremely slow, and boring, but the blu-ray A/V quality was spectacular.

I couldn't disagree more. This is coming from someone who grew up with the original as a child. Predators is actually better than Predator 2 and both AvP movies. It's as close to the original as you're going to get.

I totally agree with you. I love movies with pacing like Predators and that take the time to let characters develop a bit and have the things around them come to the surface.

I would love to see more Predator movies, especially if they'd be of the style of Predators and not like the AVP movies, although I thought the original AVP was underrated (sequel was shockingly bad).

I would watch it again to give it another chance, but I've already sold it. If a movie doesn't uphold my interests within the first 30 minutes of viewing, I'm done with it.

I agree. I loved the first one, and I don't think Predators topped it, but I still enjoy Predators very much. I would certainly be up for seeing more.

i just bought this as the U&S. bought it for $7.99 at Best buy. now can somebody tell me if this is a sequel to Predator and Predator 3 or is it a remake? i've searched the question but i get different answers.

I believe the thought of the this movie was that it pretended that Predator 2 never happened, so it would be a direct sequel to Predator in that case...

I have not seen Predators in awhile, but there is only a small reference to strange events that befell a Special Ops team in ValVerde. So even with no reference to anything that happened in Predator 2, this film could still be viewed as Predator 3, I believe. As it was just unmentioned.

First paragraph of the review for Predators here on Blu-Ray.com seems to intimate that it is a sequel to Predator.
