Ya, I'm dropping it. Anyone can see the guy is a drive by troll by just looking at his comments history. The guy is even stalking me with creepy private messages now. LOL

Come on guys. Keep politics out of it.

As far as the Jags signing Mike Thomas an extension. What a waste. He's good, but he's no true #1 WR. He still drops passes. Doesn't make sense.

Far too much money. We're still very low in payroll though. Last I checked Jacksonville was 4th lowest in the NFL in team payroll. Amazingly enough Tampa Bay is by far the lowest, at about $15 mill lower than any other NFL team. That's great value there.

Thomas may not be a true #1 but he's not being paid like one either. When you consider this is an extension to his current deal he's only going to average (at best) about $3.8 million per year over the next five seasons. The Jags really need to upgrade their receiving corp but Thomas could be a decent complimentary receiver.

Funny comment I found on ESPN's story about Chad Henne out for the year due to an "injury to his non-throwing hand."

Which one "non-throwing" arm is it? He has two of them you know...

Looks like the mod squad made a sweep and removed any commentary they didn't like. Always makes for a confusing read. I miss all the good stuff.

I'm not sure, but did the Bucs give Freeman a new contract?

Haha, the you say it Fate makes more sense when you break it down into yearly average. I'm now regretting that we got rid of Sims-Walker, then again he's been injured since he became pro.

As far as I know Freeman is still under his rookie deal. But ya, they'll have to pony up some big money soon if they havn't already. Freeman is one guy I really considered a big reach at #17 overall, but he's proven the doubters wrong.

While that is true the Jaguars didn't come close to selling out but Anheuser-Busch agreed to buy the roughly 6,000 unsold tickets (likely at 34% of face value) so the game wouldn't be blacked out. They have done the same thing earlier this year so the Panthers and Dolphins wouldn't be blacked out.

Reason why is the fact that nearly all the teams at the bottom in attendance for the season are either off or playing a road game this week. Well that and what Fatediesel said - no way does a Cincy-Jacksonville game truely "sell out."

Without getting into the politics (I disagree with him 100%), Hank's intros always got me pumped for MNF. I'll miss the intro but not that man... if that makes any sense.

You liked the energy and the feel of his intros but not the guy himself, I know what you mean. I always hate the bye week but at least this bye means we should be a lot healthier the rest of the way. 10 more days till our next game.

I think he pulled the song entirely at this point, so royalties are not an issue any longer... on a more footballish note...

ESPN Chicago reports Lions DT Nick Fairley (foot) will make his NFL debut against the Bears on Monday Night Football this week.
Fairley has reportedly told friends and family that he's been given the green light this week. The No. 12 overall pick resumed practicing on a limited basis Wednesday. He will play in a backup role behind starters Corey Williams and Ndamukong Suh throughout the season.
Whats this Lions D to be even more CRAZZZZY hells yeah! Still think over the next 3 weeks they only take 2/3 don't see Lions being able to handle the kinds of crazy run games headed there way.

The Cleveland Plain-Dealer's Tony Grossi believes Peyton Hillis will request a trade ahead of the October 18 deadline.
Grossi says contract talks between the Browns and Hillis are "not going well," and that a trade request is likely the "next step." It's hard to imagine the Browns cutting ties with one of their few offensive weapons, though it's become clear they have little interest in inking their feature back to a lucrative long-term extension. While Hillis and his third agent in four months desperately struggle to maintain leverage, the Browns have little motivation to act on a trade request even if Montario Hardesty looms as a potential replacement.

This is a huge game this weekend for Buffalo. We'll learn a lot about them this week, coming off a game we let get away from us. We really showed our youth in the second half against Cincinnati, now we must respond against the Eagles. Philadelphia scares the hell out of me because they are a desperate team.

Better than giving an extension to Troy Stone Hands Williamson
