Hell at this point I'd just settle for DTS-MA deocding in Linear PCM on the PS3. This is probably the one thing I think a lot of us on here would like to have. I doubt we would see bitsreaming, but if they could get that to work in the 60 gig version, I'd like that as well. The ability to make a game invitation without having to leave the game to access the XMB would be nice. Didn't they mention something like that already?

able to play Closed Captioned (cc) on PS3. PS3 can play subtitles only not Closed Captioned for Deaf Or hard of hearing. Most of BD does have SDH, but SDVD usually use CC as sdh or sometime sdvd doesnt have subtitle and use CC and how would we able to understand without CC in PS3?

COME ON SONY! not only we adults need use cc. KIDS worldwide should have it to learn vocabulary or reading skills. THINK ABOUT IT SONY!

I want to be able to access the menu of the ps3 while playing a game. So like maybe i can play my own music while playing games. Like the original xbox did how many years ago.....

My ideal PS3 should have:

1. Preference/Condition Memory: Once you want and set up a BD to play in a specific audio track(i.e. lossless 5.1 audio) with specific subtitles, PS3 remembers the condition when you play the same BD from next time on. (You don't have to re-set up your preference.)
2. Resume Spot Memory: If you want to watch a movie later on like next day or even in a week, PS3 exactly remembers the spot where you stopped watching (even after power-off and other BDs were played).

My old Pioneer dvd player has the functions and I found they are so very much convenient.

A better web browser, umm like firefox. Better flash support.
Animation Wallpaper.
Able to choose my own online photo.
I want to be able to make notes in my buddy list. So I know who all these people are!
Be able to add which games you play to your buddy icon in the xmb for other people to play.
A personal page that links from your buddy profile. Which you can update a mini blog, games you play, etc, etc. I saw something like this in a home movie.

I want audio output from the HDMI and SPDIF ports simultaneously. Everytime I do a hardware reset of my PS3 to reset the video output I have to reconfigure my audio. I have my PS3 --> TV (HDMI) and TV --> A/V receiver (digital coax), and somehow the sound is downgraded to stereo, so I have the SPDIF plugged in directly to the A/V receiver for surround sound.

Of course if I upgraded to a real A/V receive and not a HTIB I wouldn't have this problem.

That would be awesome.

Maybe an automatic background change every so often (like in a Mac).

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet but I'd like an easy way to copy my store bought game disc to the HD so I don't have to change discs all the time!
