Default Halloween 6: The Producer's Cut coming to bluray??

Can't see a thread for this but does anyone know if this is legit?

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Hallo...Blu-ray/32768/

Can't find any news online about this so wondering if its a hoax, would be awesome to finally get the producer's cut on bluray, i'd even settle for an official release on dvd

I highly doubt that is going to happen. It would be nice though.

I agree, I would be shocked if this version of the film was released.

I'll be quite honest and say that I didn't even know a "Producer's Cut" existed for this film.

if it was any other studio than Echo Bridge I'd been more inclined to believe it, i doubt these guys would bother with an alternate cut when they can't even come up with 5.1 DTS

If Echo Bridge has stated it would be coming, then I'm sure it would take some time. They've told me that a Blu-ray for Godzilla vs Biollante is in the works but they are still awaiting Filmyard/Miramax's HD Master.

Shout was willing to release the producer's cut, but the rights went to Echo Bridge instead.

Whoever Photoshopped that cover could have at least listed the title as "Halloween 666".

Database listings don't mean much unless there's a preorder or at least some sort of credible evidence. This is just a case of wishful thinking.

Seen this alright, what is the pq like for the producers cut, is it the same quality throughout or does it cut between pc scenes and theatrical cut scenes

Halloween 6 P-Cut Part 1 - YouTube
Looks like the 1 disc copy I have, I've heard there's a version floating around that has the same quality picture throughout rather than splicing between cuts, supposed to be the best copy available, wish they could just release the damn thing

There's been "rumors" of an official release for years, but nothing ever comes of it.

What gets me is, the producers OWE us this version, as an homage to Donald Pleasence on his final performance. The scenes with him in the PC are fantastic.

Last I heard, the original masters are missing, so a BR release of this probably wouldn't be all that good quality-wise. I'm good with the 5-disc DVD set until they come across masters to give it a good transfer.

What was your source about the "missing" masters? What 5-disc DVD set are you referring to? Does it contain the PC of H6?
