Angry Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Pt. 2

Went to target today to pick up the target exclusive and they has thrown out almost all of the slips for this because it didn't fit into their plastic security sleeve.

Anyone else run into this problem?

I was fortunate enough that they found one for me.

Nope my copy from Hastings still had its slipcover when I bought it but I can be as annoyed as anyone when I get a new release without its slipcover.

Just busting you my friend. Check the main slip thread. We complain about Target all the time. All were either thrown out or destroyed in the security cases in this area of PA.

I fear that eventually all the Targets WILL BE LIKE THAT!

Not all, mine had them on them just fine, as you can see in my recent haul pic, but I did get the stickers off ASAP, nice mint clean slips

Yea, but I'm starting to think it's one of their standard lines for 'dealing' with customer complaints on the issue.

Quote:
Dear Target manager, please select one of the following excuses for 'working around customer complaints'. - Target Upper Management.

A: "It's corporate Target's fault, contact them"
- Customer calls to complain, gets no where!
B: "Every Target does this now"
- If you challenge this statement, they'll just refer you to option A!

Went to four Targets today...only one had a single beat all to hell slipcover copy of the Exclusive, and the other three, not only had NONE of the exclusive, they also had no signage to indicate they even stocked the exclusive. BEYOND ridiculous, but typical Target.

My target did have the slips but the guy had a tough time taking out the movie from the plastic thingy.... had to tell him not to pull from the slip itself...it almost tore but it came out fine

This is news to me. I've never heard of Target doing this. "My" Target always displays the BDs with their slips and never uses the security thing you guys are referring too.

That's probably due to the ridiculous price they're asking for it rather than the damaged slipcover. You can save $5 and get a 3D version and lenticular slip by walking the 5 feet or so over to Best Buy.

Just don't buy it if it get thrown or damage. Target management don't know all those slipcover is exclusive.

If target no action, those studio shall have some action and probably stop release exclusive for them since they not appreciate it.

Most people don't know better to walk over to Best Buy. They will go to WM and buy the regular copy if they don't like Target's price.

Target's prices usually suck for exclusives though, and they've never had problems moving them before.

Are they usually $28 bad though? I don't remember them being that out of line in the past. And you really think John Q. public who you yourself says doesn't know enough to walk to Best Buy is going to care about a slipcover being rippled/bent/crunched on the back? I'm sticking to the price point as the theory on why they're not moving.

Now that the West Side Story Target exclusive digibook is coming out in two days. I wonder if they will use the spiderwraps on all copies. Last year, members complained that Target used the spiderwraps on the Sound of Music digibook.
