There's a difference for me. If I use RGB I lose some white contrast using my PS3 HDMI to a 720P LCD panel vs when I use Y Pb/Pr I got the full white contrast range. There's shouldn't be any difference but on my setup with PS3 and my LCD panel, I do see a difference.
