Holy crap!!!! How did I not see the Space Jockey's chair during that trailer?

It's official, excited for these movies: Ghost Rider 2, The Avengers, Prometheus and GI Joe 2.

The Dark Knight Rises needs a better trailer to get me excited. I don't know, something about this last trailer just didn't get my blood pumping like the other trailers have.

I'm still gonna see it opening weekend though

the space jockeys chair rising up and the shot of the derelict ship gave me chills. i might have to watch Alien tonight now.

I already did that. Definitely gets the blood flowing in anticipation for Prometheus

Perhaps it's expectations from the viewer. I dunno.. with the exception of Prometheus, none of those films got me hot for various reasons. At the same time, I'm excited for: Chronicle, Prometheus, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Dark Knight Rises, and I have some hope for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and John Carter.

And the sound was just as good as the visual teasers! The driving Inception like sound chord is awesome in my book. No dialog... perfect... the same squeel sounds pulled straight out of the original Alien trailer.. again perfect. The trailer really is an homage to his 1979 movie trailer.

I think I've watched the handheld camera version now like eight times already, I need a high quality version now. LOL.

Its obvious Ridley is having a laugh. Whether the xenomorph shows up or not, its still very much a prequel. We're getting answers to questions presented in the original film. That's enough for me.

Having witnessed the trailer in front of Dragon Tattoo, I can definitely say that my interest in this film went for 0 to 100 in about three seconds.

As much as I don't understand the idea of doing a prequel to Alien, the trailer is utterly fantastic...much better than that other prequel trailer that just got released online.

I'm not the biggest Alien series fan but I'm seeing this one opening day.

Yea, I don't go to movies opening day anymore, but for this I just might give it a shot instead of waiting until Sunday morning.

HECK! I will purchase the Blu-ray day one if the cheapest price is over $30 bucks!

IIRC, those were supposed to be decoys.

Did you guys notice the space jockey head/helmet they scan?

Not to mention a white faced person/entity standing far right at the last 'S' when the space jockey chair rises? Could this be the spacejockey race without their 'suit'? He looks so big and pale that I can't place him as a PROMETHEUS crew member. Perhaps the HD version will tell us...
