Question

Sorry to dig up this half decade old thread, but hey, thank the search-feature...

Anyway, I'm interested in watching this movie, and although I have this nice Director's Cut edition on DVD, it doesn't really look good.
It's quite sharp and seems to have quite some detail like grain and such, but it also suffers from artifacts and a LOT of haloing.

I also read, in this very thread actually, that the first BD-release of this film is great.
This was said almost 5 years ago though, I'm sure standards have changed by now.
Especially since that BD still used MPEG-2 for video... Even the April 2010 BD+DVD re-release is the same.

However, there is a German release from November 2010, which even seems to be the Directors Cut at nearly 20 minutes longer.
But there is barely any information on this release. Does anyone have it or know more about it?

Edit:

Ugh, I actually just found some disappointing reviews on Amazon.
Turns out they included 2 DVDs with 1 BD, and they put the Director's Cut on a DVD. (WTF!?¡)

Apparently it does have a study book with a lenticular cover (unusual??), although in German (annoying...) and also a film-cell in a card.
I might buy this just for those things, very maybe, but only if the price is a lot lower.

At first I thought it cost a lot at 26 Euros, but then I saw a picture of the 3 discs with the book and the film-cell. That was better.
Then it turned out they fool you with the Theatrical cut on BD and Director's Cut on DVD, which probably means the BD is the same disc again.
This brings down the value again if you ask me... Although it's still quite a package...

Then I guess I should change my question to; Would this be remastered any time soon?
It's been a while since the first BD they produced, and it seems they only released the same disc with that combo-pack and this Cinedition.
