Default What was your very first Blu-ray purchase?

I did a couple searches about this topic but came up with nothing. I'm sure this thread existed at some point but either I can't find it or it is long since dead.

I am very curious to know what everyone's first purchases was and what it was about it that prompted you to take the plunge.

Mine was The Last Mohican... I was in target looking to pick up some cheap dvds and saw that it was on sale for I think $13. I love the book and had wanted to see the movie for forever so that coupled with owning a ps3... it was an exciting tumble into addiction after that.

There is a thread for this already, but I know how sporadic that search function can be.

For fun: My first were Kick-Ass and 2001: A Space Odyssey.

My first blu ray were

Pirates of the Caribbean 1 & 2
Casino Royal
The Descent

I was really wanting to get a PS3 but there were no games i wanted out yet. Then they had the get 5 free blu rays with purchase, so i went ahead & grabbed a PS3. Instead of games, i bought movies & my addiction began...

Talladega Nights, I didn't buy it because it came free with the purchase of my PS3. My first official purchase was The Fifth Element and Kingdom of Heaven, I remember Kingdom of Heaven costing me close to $40, look at the price now.

Terminator 3 was my first purchase. First Blu Ray was The Dark Knight. I worked for an online store when I first started going Blu so I got a lot of blu ray for free.

Pinocchio was my very first BD. Hard to believe it's been a little over 3 years since I bought it.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Wal-mart exclusive w/ a DVD). I could watch the DVD then when I got my player (about a month later) I could watch the BD. I was thrilled with it! It's amazing 3-ish years later I have over 170 BDs, can't wait to see what it is 2 years from now!

I, like many here, took the plunge into blu with the purchase of a PS3 (in Feb. of '07). On the same receipt, I picked up Resistance: The Fall of Man (I'm a gamer, as well), and The Devil's Rejects. Like many here, my choices were fairly limited, so it wasn't like I passed on a title with reference quality PQ/AQ (nore was I fairly knowledgeable about PQ/AQ, as I didn't start researching such things online). I went w/ that mainly because I'm a horror-hound, and that was the best title available (The Devil's Rejects is one of my favorite horror films of the last decade).
