Your LCD set accepts 1080i and deinterlaces it and scales it to your TV's native resolution, which is probably 768p.

You're losing over 40% of the picture, but it should still blow DVD and broadcast HD out of the water.

With that said should i set my ps3 to 720p or 1080i to watch my blu-ray movies?
