Also as many has heard from the Director claims there will be 30 mins extra to home video compared to the theaters but it hasnt been confirmed in the press releases, are there any info on this or are we gonna have to wait for the Director's Cut of it?
Here is the Master list of Avengers releases. I'm going with the 10-disc Phase One set.

The director has said his cut is the theatrical cut. So basically, we are getting the Director's Cut on Sept. 25. I think the extra 30 minutes will be in the form of deleted/extended scenes.

Disney does iTunes, Windows Media Player digital copies.

I loved Spiderman 2.1. To me it added something nice to the movie even though it wasnt really necessary, it was great. I was hoping The Avengers would get this treatment.........just the less double dipping idea though :-\

You're both probably right. I'm just thinking of that one scene where MJ is talking to that lady friend of hers that was originally cut, and how that scene didn't really add a whole lot to the main plotline, but I guess would be a nice addition to fleshing out the characters. I'll have to watch it one more time on extended.

ON TOPIC: For Avengers extended, I really doubt they'd pay the extra money to go back and convert the extended shots for the 3D disc. They usually reserve the extended exclusively for the 2D version; less work for them to do; unfortunately for 3D fans.

Not that the circumstances surrounding Green Lantern are really relevant (their performances cannot be compared) but the 3D Blu-ray of GL had the extended scenes only on the 2D disc, while the 3D disc had the theatrical cut. Since the scenes aren't being added in, it pretty much means they will be 2D extras.
