The Samsung BD-P1000 is a very good player I have it and am very happy with it. The BD-P1200 will be a very nice upgrade however I think it wont be available until April 19th and will be $800. I personally am going to continue using my BD-P1000 and wait for the 2nd generation Sony's to come out this summer which will be about $600 and then replace my Samsung with that. If you think you might upgrade to a newer player at a later point I would just get the Sammy BD-P1000 now which you can find for around $500. However if you are definately not going to buy another player for quite some time there after I would most likely wait for the BD-P1200 and get that.

As far as a 3rd movie, in the action genre's Black Hawk Down and Lord of War, ar both very good Blu-ray's as for PQ and SQ as well as very good movies. Crank is an amazing Blu-ray for PQ and SQ however as a movie itself not quite the quality of the other 2.
