The Birdcage had a lot of previously deleted footage reinstated for the network tv version.

imdb states that Starship Troopers had the half the head decapitation scene restored for the TV 'FX network' version, which was clipped for the R-rated theatrical version - really?? wow.

the TV cut of Needful Things was also longer than the theatrical version.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles and Tin Cup each featured a single additional scene.

The Bodyguard and G.I. Jane each featured about six additional minutes.

Up Close & Personal, Phenomenon and Speed 2: Cruise Control each featured about 10 additional minutes.
Speed 2 also had the coda with Annie back in driving school placed at the beginning.

The Birdcage featured about 15 additional minutes.

Far and Away was extended by about 35 minutes.

Waterworld was extended by 40 minutes.

Needful Things was extended by more than an hour.

Added Backdraft to my original post. I still have the VHS of that one. I think it was 3 hours.

I'm going to have to go back and make sure all of those scenes were on the blu-ray.

The Warriors apparently had never before seen footage aired on TV. I believe it was more footage of all the gangs in NY and possibly an extra brawl.

My mother's a big fan of Phenomenon, and she's wanted her own copy of the longer cut for quite some time. Unfortunately, its never been released to home video, which sucks.

I don't remember that scene. I only remember a scene where he is on his way to Ray Finkle's house and stops by a bar for directions. Inside sething happens with the colourful locals and he threatens to pick a fight. He proceeds to take out one of his contact lenses, break it over the counter (as if it were a beer bottle), and proceeds to threaten his potential assailants with his improvised weapon.

Repo Man is rather funny in the TV version. "You melonfarmer!" and all that. It also has some scenes not in the original version. Both are on the BD, thankfully.

Murder By Death!

Some of the scenes are available on youtube, but I would love a complete version on BD.

The Goonies

That's the big one I always remember because they almost always include the Octopus scene.

In Jurassic Park; The Lost World, there is the additional scene of Pete Postlethwaite beating the crap out of the guy with his hand tied behind his back. That scene is utterly classic, but for some reason has only been aired within the movie on TV. It is, however, included in the deleted scenes on the BD.

While I understand the scene was perhaps a bit too cool for what's supposed to be the introduction of the villain (Postlethwaite was already cooler than Vince Vaughn in the movie ), you do get to understand the man a bit better. I also don't understand why the board room scene was cut, since that was exposition that the audience needed, and the introduction to the other villain, Ludlow. Instead, we're getting a reshoot of Malcolm on the subway, with information that's already in the next scene (it doesn't help that the next scene is also the 'reveal', so to speak, of Malcolm in the second movie).
