scarface vs. taxidriver which one is better? - Blu-ray Forum

The other night I watched scarface for the first time and I absolutely loved it. Tonight I am watching taxi driver which I have also never seen. I had always heard great things about it too. So my question is which one is better in your opinion?

Apples and oranges. I like them both for different reasons, but they're not really comparable

I love Scarface, but Taxi Driver is my 2nd favorite film of all-time behind Mulholland Drive.

From two of my favorite directors, I prefer Taxi Driver as it's my favorite Scorsese. Scarface is over-the-top De Palma, which he does best, but this one's too campy.

I personally prefer Taxi Driver even though they are both great movies.

I side with Taxi Driver. I've seen scarface several times but never really warmed to it. Al's evil black eye makeup and wonky accent just leave me smh.

taxi is disturbing but has some truly surprising LOL moments. I'm thinking of the scene where travis gets some life advice from a fellow cabbie outside the diner.

love them both. i find scarface more fun and entertaining and taxi driver more "philosophical" if that makes any sense.

Love 'em both but, gun to my head, Taxi Driver is definitely a more important and consistent movie.

Scarface is an entertaining film, brimming with De Palma style and a classic Pacino performance. Taxi Driver is a masterpiece. No comparison.
