i just bought this as the U&S. bought it for $7.99 at Best buy. now can somebody tell me if this is a sequel to Predator and Predator 3 or is it a remake? i've searched the question but i get different answers.

I believe the thought of the this movie was that it pretended that Predator 2 never happened, so it would be a direct sequel to Predator in that case...

okay, so it's a sequel though and not a remake.

I think it's a sequel in some people's minds......Danny Glover doesn't think so

I have not seen Predators in awhile, but there is only a small reference to strange events that befell a Special Ops team in ValVerde. So even with no reference to anything that happened in Predator 2, this film could still be viewed as Predator 3, I believe. As it was just unmentioned.

First paragraph of the review for Predators here on Blu-Ray.com seems to intimate that it is a sequel to Predator.

Exactly. There is nothing whatsoever in this film that denies or voids the events of PREDATOR 2, so I view it as the third of a trilogy.
