So wait... this'll have the uncut English dub? Hardcore fans of the film probably have the, erm, "custom" Franco Cleef DVD, which has snippets of the English dub cut from the US version (Corbett meeting the monks, Cuchillo with his wife, etc) sourced from (I believe) a Greek VHS.

Either way, seeing this on blu-ray at all is amazing! Hell, we still don't even have a DVD version in America Since Sony has the rights to it in the US, maybe it'll take Twilight Time to release it

EDIT: Nevermind, I read that Grindhouse Releasing is apparently working with Sony on getting it released here in the US. I have to be careful saying "Grindhouse" around my girlfriend, as she'll start humming the "Funky Fanfare" tune

Grindhouse Releasing is a very small company, and with the tragic recent death of the main individual behind the company, Sage Stallone, it may be awhile for this in the US.

That is true, but I wasn't sure when Grindhouse first broke the news. Either way, I *may* still get this one. I mean, it has English and Italian, plus the full 110 minute cut (so used to seeing 106 minutes for PAL). If it is indeed region coded, at least I have a BD-ROM drive now, so at least a computer is an option

So, to anyone here who both ordered this *AND* have the older Koch Media German DVD release of the film... how does the blu-ray compare? While the Koch Media DVD was possibly the best the film looked on DVD (especially compared to the muddy Italian DVD, and the decent looking but cut Japanese DVD), the contrast seemed a bit blown out in spots and the colors, while vibrant, seemed to lean a pinch greenish/yellowish. I was hoping this new blu-ray is more balanced in its white/black levels and colors overall. Thanks for any info!

How are they? I saw that they apparently have free worldwide shipping. I would like to pay under $30

they are very reliable, and a great way to get German releases if they have them. Trying to find out what they actually have can be pretty frustrating, but I think you'll find most people that have used them are very pleased with their service. They are definitely way cheaper than amazon.de due to the fact you can get free shipping by ordering 2 bds at the same time.

If you order from Amazon.de and you are outside of Europe you pay 19% less than the price shown on Amazon plus shipping to the US is only 3 Euro.
