i don't know.
i play my blurays in my pc. i use powerDVD or TotalMedia Theater, and I'm not sure about this option to english language you say. the locked region problem isn't a problem for me.. Anyway, i live in Greece, so it's Region 2 here too.. edit: oh i just saw in TotalMedia Theater that in the settings, it has an option for DVD/BLuray language. (Default menu language). this is set to Greek. So i wonder if I put the French Bluray what would it show. (probably the French). But since it can be changed, I think I will not have any problem. thanks PS.: by the way, since you say you have the French Bluray of Tintin, it does have Greek subtiltes, doesn't it?
