As far as 30 Days of Night goes, thats pretty much the way it is. A no holds bar, search and destroy mission on innocents for blood. I loved this movie by the way. The SQ and PQ was amazing. One Very Creepy and Well made Horror flick. Worth every penny and good for multiple viewings! A positive.

Very much agreed. Just have me wondering with the "in my experience" parts lol.

Just an observation. I'm constantly perplexed by 180 degree opinions when it comes to PQ. I value this poster's opinion, but don't understand it as with many, many other movies PQ evaluations. I thought it had amazing PQ!

Two questions, has anyone read the actual 30 Days of Night comic? and is the movie faithful to it?

I just don't want to be disappointed by an incredibly different story from the original.

I'm not quite sure how to say this. I'm beginning to suspect that the two very pale and thin looking man and woman that moved in next door in that vacant old house probably are vampires. Their clothes look old and out dated. Not shabby, but seem worn and not from this era. There is just something about their faces that I can't seem to pin point or articulate very well indescribing the flat, dead, lifeless look in their dark eyes and the gaunt features of their faces. They don't look very healthy I guess you could say.

Its completely dark and quiet over there all day long. Coincidently, (or not) just a short time after it begins to get dark, I can see the lights begin to come on in various windows through the closed shudders.

I never see them leave or return from any place during the day, but at night usually after 1 am, I see them both leave together in that dark, older model car with suicide doors on it. Iv'e never been awake to know exactly when they return home, but then the cycle starts all over again. Day after day, night after night. Same routine. I'm getting a very cold and uncomfortable feeling about this. Whats going to happen next?

I enjoyed the film, however it does lack the many factors that we normally expect from a vampire flick...but then again that is why I liked Blood and Chocolate, they did something new, werewolves poisoned by silver...very nice touch...almost as nice as rage infected fast running zombies!
