Default F.Y.E: 50% more store credit, 20% more cash for trade-ins. EXP: 12/15

A bit more cash or store credit for those used trade-ins at F.Y.E. this week. Thought I'd pass it along.

[This was an e-mail ad, so I'm assuming safe to post].

Thanks for posting, OP. I've never done trade-ins at FYE (or any B&M store actually).... how does FYE usually compare to Amazon's trade in program (value wise)?

I haven't used Amazon's trade-in program before. The websites for secondspin and wherehouse used to be a pretty reliable indicator of price for trade-ins at F.Y.E. in the past, but I've had some issues with it over the last year or two. In other words, it can be a crapshoot how much value you'll really get when you're in store. So I'd keep that in mind when deciding. You can, of course, always refuse to sell once you see the value on the register screen from your end.

Yeah, so secondspin and wherehouse are still an absolute crapshoot for price evaluation. Took in a handful of cds and dvds and only one (Bride of Re-Animator) rang up for the quoted web price. Most rang up for $1, which came out to $1.88 store credit each. Don't be afraid to refuse sale on any items you aren't comfortable with their price offer.

Damn, I have a couple of blu-rays that I've wanted to trade in and this credit bonus would have been sweet. Too bad I won't be back home until after Christmas. OP, do you know how often they do this promo. Are there specific times for these trade-in bonus offers?

I'm not sure how frequently they roll these out. And I normally don't even open F.Y.E. e-mails since the ads are usually so lackluster. Just happened to stumble on this one. Ends tomorrow, btw. Guess one more bump before the deal's up.
