USA Similar Problem with Memento

Hello fellow cinephiles!

I have encountered a problem with my Memento BD.
I have the 2006 release of it and have been able to play it before.
It is able to load the menu, begin to play through all the legal junk, but once the film is suppose to begin, the screen is black.
What is weird is I can fast forward and skip chapters, but the movie never plays.
I plugged in an external drive because I have read that that sometimes helps movies load quicker, but it still did not work.
Some additional information that I believe may effect the playback.
1. I am living in Sweden using a US Sony BDP-BX1, on a European Samsung TV.
2. All my other blu rays have played fine up to this point.
3. Could this have any thing to do with NTSC/PAL?
Does anyone have any tips or experiences with this.
Many thanks in advance.
