US version of The Good The Bad & The Ugly

There is some confusion regarding this title after a re-release which includes a DVD.
Someone had uploaded the info regarding this re-release onto the old first release.
I've since uploaded the original specs.
This is the original release:

If we are not to have a massive confusion regarding this title there has to be somekind of a lock on the original in my opinion.

The problem is there are 4 versions of this on Amazon and sometimes even Amazon/BestBuy mix/switch things around/do a secret remasteri... err i mean secret relisting is done, happenss from time to time with editions that have extra discs in the initial run and lose DVDs DCs and (even CDs) or add them (plus movie cash or different covers etc) at a later date.

lets see if we can straighten this out



1) Listing 4355 the original

Has UPC 883904140917 which goes to Amazon ASIN: Amazon B001U6YI92 which happens to be listed as a 2 disc BD/DVD in BD case from May 12, 2009

if you enter the UPC in Best buy it shows this on the search:

but going there sku 9764505 it shows a cover with no dvd and no mention of DVD on the listing:





Our listing was indeed going (in addition to going to Best Buy's 9764505) to Amazon 2 disc B001U6YI92 , till the Asin was changed by you (taken out) 6 days ago and approved

and had the DVD disc added to the listing on October 7 2011, and was taken out by you 6 days ago.



2) Listing 30998

Has UPC 883904242987 was added on Oct 7 2011 as BD without a DVD

UPC 883904242987 goes to Amazon Asin B004TJ1H2I single BD disc listing from May 10, 2011.



3) Listing 53912

UPC 883904226161 is for a BD/DVD in DVD packaging. Amazon has this 2 disc set listed in ASIN B003ZD9DO8 from Oct 5 2010







There's also a fourth Amazon listing B003ZXNCKE, UPC 883904218166 for the the DVD/BD combo in BD case from sellers




So what's the original UPC for the single BD disc edition of May 12, 2009?
Amazon's listing for UPC 883904140917 is for a BD/DVD and for BestBuy seems to be for a BD (but Best Buy's search shows the cover for the BD/DVD)

Maybe the listing was first a BD then amazon changed it to a BD/DVD?

The BD/DVD in DVD case is listed for May 10, 2010, maybe it was done then. I seem to remember seeing the BD/DVD in Walmart or Suncoast or Best Buy with the different cases at different times

Then there's the single BD amazon listing from UPC 883904242987 for Oct 17, 2011

I don't own it but it seems like 883904140917 is the correct UPC for the original release based on the following.

I can confirm that the UPC for the original 2009 1-disc release is indeed 883904140917.
This is from the back of the original 2009 1-disc release
It seems that Amazon changed from the original 2009 1-disc to the 2-disc some time ago with the same UPC.

mmm well seems mgm pressed new ones with the same upc or amazon is in error which creates all this confusion:

I will create extra entries to cover this.

Since the original entry was DVDless from ~ March 2009 to Oct 7, 2011 and DVDed from Oct 7, 2011 to Aug 24, 2012 and DVDless again from Aug 24 to Dec 12, 2012 and back to DVDed on Dec 12, 2012 and back to DVDless on Dec 13 (btw if you're asking, I approved DVDless ones) which means DVDless for ~3 years and DVDed for almost a year it might be that about 500-600 of the 2301 collectors that added this, added as the 2 disc on their collections and now it will be showing as 1 disc, and they'll have to migrate to one of the 2 discs when they find out ( I'd PM them each, telling to check , if it wasn't 2300 collectors )


Right now updating is disabled by the devs, so I'll get 'round to it... mañana
