No. But sometimes the flap is folded into the box when I open it for the first time. I just pull it out and it pops back up. Then I shove it back into the normal position. Then it snaps closed normally. It takes a little man-handling, but be gentle. So far, the flap never broke off (at least not yet).

YMMV. That's why I prefer the 14 mm thick premium case though many hate it.

I haven't had any tabs break but sometime the middle locking tab will not lock in place. It's no big deal but if they were thicker they would be more sturdy and more solid locking.
