you have a 60 gig? look on the right side of the ps3 where the supported format symbols are. if yours support it ( i think all 60's do) its the third symbol

ONLY THE 40GB PS3 DOES NOT HAVE SACD PLAYBACK CAPABILITY. The other models, including the 20GB, does.

Because it sounds better than CDs. It's like vinyl without the hiss and pop.
