The following are all factory direct speaker companies. They make very good speakers and sell them at reasonable prices. My favorite company is Iky Audio. If you buy their speakers, you will never have to go to the bathroom.

In addition to the following, there are hundreds of other companies that make great bookshelf speakers. It is best to visit a few audio dealers and audition as many as you can.

The list is in alphabetical order.

I highly recommend the psb B6. Huge sound for a small speaker. Paired with a good sub (xv15 in my case ) and these things rock. I tell you what I am auditioning aperion verus grand bookshelfs and I will let you know the difference (they come in on Friday) if I fall in love with the grands I would be putting the psb's up for sale so ill let you know

I purchased some psb B6 last year for my living room system and I think they're great for <$600. Although I have cats so I had to buy some heavy stands ($300) and with some blu-tack they've been very stable.

I went with an SVS sub (SB12-NSD), psb c4 center and psb b4 for surrounds - made a nice little system.

I posted this over at avs....short version. Aperion not worth the prremium price over psb for me.

Ok after setting up the mains and listening to all the favorites. While great sounding. I honestly didn't hear enough of a difference ( if any) to warrant a 800$ increase. I feel buying a DAC or oppo would suit me better for my money

I think they are gorgeous. But sound the same as the psb's. wich as you know I LOVE!

But in the bright side. It cost me nothing. And now I have the peice of mind knowing I have exactly what I am looking for. I am not really sure what I thought I would hear by getting the aperions. I guess I was just won over by their looks lol

I didn't even bother pulling out the center speaker.

Oh well
