I heard this movie was terrible from numerous people.

It's safe to say that I will steer clear of purchasing this one.

Heard it stunk. I'll give it a Red Box.

This movie was pretty disappointing, considering I was a huge fan of Horrible Bosses. It was one of those comedies where all of the funny parts were in the trailers.

Too many "touching moments" is what made this film less than Due Date or Horrible Bosses.

Awful film. McCarthy has become a one trick pony, and Bateman has been for a while now.

I'm one of the few who enjoyed it. I loved the "touching moments" more than the comedy though.

This is what I thought. My wife thought it looked but I couldn't go see this in theater. It will be a Redbox rental. If it is even decent, I will be surprised.

I too was a fan of Horrible Bosses. I still watch it when it comes on the movie channels. The cast was great. I'm still not certain about McCarthy. She can't hold a movie by herself. She still only works as a supporting actress.

Considering it's the first movie of 2013 to reach $100M, I'd say she's a star. This summer's THE HEAT should also do pretty well.

Considering how much bank this movie has made, I'd say the people are liking this one. I'm passing on this one for now, because my time is limited, and I have to pick and choose my trips to the theater, but I look forward to watching it when it's available for streaming.

I don't know what Universal was thinking, releasing this so early in the year. If they'd shelved it until the fall/winter, it could've been an Oscar contender for sure.

SYNOPSIS

Jason Bateman (Horrible Bosses) and Melissa McCarthy (Bridesmaids) lead an all-star cast in this hilarious blockbuster hit. Unlimited funds have allowed Diana (McCarthy) to live it up on the outskirts of Orlando. There’s only one glitch: she’s financing her shopping sprees with an ID stolen from Sandy Patterson (Bateman), an accounts rep who lives halfway across the U.S. With only one week to hunt down the con artist before his world implodes, the real Sandy Patterson is forced to extreme measures to clear his name. From the director of Horrible Bosses and the producer of Ted, critics are calling Identity Thief “smart, funny and surprisingly touching” – Rafer Guzman, Newsday
