Default Safe to extend the cord on my power conditioner?

I have a Panamax M4300 and the cord isn't quite long enough, need about another 4FT on it. It uses 14 Gauge wire, would it be safe to get a 4FT extension cable that is also 14 Gauge? (or 6FT if I couldn't find a 4FT one)

Thoughts?

Should be ok, I use a 12' 14AWG extension cable( http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...=REG&A=details ), with my Panamax M5400.

your fine as long as you match the wire size of the device cord or use a larger gauged size cord. 14awg should be more than enough in most instances.
