Actually, it has 2 inputs: One in the front and one at the back. Besides, I only have my PS3 and Cable box connected to my receiver as of now, so figured I'd only need one.

But how about other options? If I get an SPL meter to level match the speakers and sub, will I miss anything besides the connectivity a receiver would offer?
