amazing spin!

Anechoic chambers are the ideal place to test a speakers frequency responce, no unwanted reflections. the point of tests in an anechoic chamber is that it gives as much data about the speaker as possible, non about the room!

so now if we can get back to the bose roasting that would be great

Bose strictly markets themselves to consumers that don't know any better. They think "Why would I buy these huge floor standing speakers when I can get these really tiny ones that will probably sound just as good?" It's just not possible, plain and simple.

This is why Bose is sold in J6P stores like BB and CC, along with their way overpriced HDTVs, HDM, Monster cables that they shove in your face, etc...

Cars should not be crash tested with Crash Test Dummies. CTDs do not scream out the same way real people will in a crash, hence publishing safety numbers using CTDs is meaningless. Real People will find CTD testing numbers very useful --- if they're all CTDs.

We hope you don't take it personally that we do not publish CTD safety numbers.

I've learnt a long time ago to avoid Bose. Even Radioshack bookshelves are better bets than Bose speakers.
