Sorry dude, but both of those songs were released in 1979.

The best song of the '80s is "Into The Night" by Benny Mardones.

My favorite is Tarzan Boy by Baltimora. U2, Rush and the Cure also had a ton of great stuff as well as the Police.

You're probably right. "Funkytown" was released as a single in early '80.

Patrick Swayze - She's Like The Wind

Actually, its not that bad of a song. So many choices from the '80s, so hard to pick one. I'll go with all thats been said with a few of these.

Queen - Under Pressure
Poision - Every Rose Has Its Thorn
Roxette - Listen To Your Heart
Markita - Toy Soldiers
REM - Stand
Guns N' Roses - Paradise City
Michael Jackson - Smooth Criminal
Def Leppard - Pour Some Sugar On Me
Areosmith - Janie's Got a Gun

List could go on forever

But what about "Luke Skywalker & 2 Live Crew - Doo Wah Ditty"

Hey, what about A Flock of Seagulls "And I Ran"

Seriously, U2 "Pride (In the Name of Love)" "New Year's Day", "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For", "With or Without You", Fleetwood Mac "Gypsy", Bruce Springsteen "Brilliant Disguise", "Cover Me", this list goes on. There is no way I could choose a Best Song of the 80's.

Slight derailment, but both are so much fun to play in Rock Band.
