I read that the latest DMC will be next week's Halloween special at $13.99 for PS+ members. I'll definitely pick it up if that's the case.

The HD collection is like $10 on PSN for plus members. You really can't go wrong for 3 full games at that price.

I was only able to finish 1 of the 3 remasters and it wasn't bad. I remember there being some funky camera angles, so sometimes I didn't notice a straggling enemy or misjudge a jump, but I guess that comes with the territory of having a fixed camera. The other odd thing is that the menus appear in standard definition (not sure why that is) and the cut scenes are also in SD, but that's probably due to the fact they were rendered in that format. If you've played the originals and want to revisit the series, definitely pick it up. If not, it might look and feel dated.

In regards to DMC, I wasn't looking forward to the reboot and didn't have much faith in Ninja Theory, but they certainly surprised me. They added their own unique take on the franchise with interesting character designs, detailed models, an array of fun weapons and a combat system that allowed you to seamlessly alternate in between them during combos. If you have the chance to play this on PC, opt for that since it can run at 60fps (console version also isn't too shabby ).

Don't own the game so can't really say for certain, but I did not like what I saw from the demo at all.

I knew someone who owned the game and enjoyed it as far as the gameplay went, but he didn't like that they had started the story over, since they had already established it in the other games.

Well DMC is a reboot made by the same company who Developed Heavenly Sword and Enslaved since a lot of games from Capcom lately have been Western-developed. I bought Heavenly Sword and didn't care for it and had no interest in trying out Enslaved.

I thought DMC was great. I really enjoyed that game, too bad Ninja Theory isn't making a sequel to it. I don't think it sold too well, however the reviews were good too. I think most people wrote it off because they changed Dante.

Really? I didn't know that. I thought with it being Devil May Cry that it had done quite well.

Yeah, I knew that it was a reboot but still he wasn't thrilled that they were doing this. Of course, it doesn't surprise me that they did this because it seems like that is happening not only in the film industry but also with game studios in order for them to continue to profit on the title.
