PS3 problem : new blu ray disc won't play - Blu-ray Forum

Man that does seem like a weird problem. My first advise was to tell you firmware update but you already have that and your ps3 reads discs since it can read games. I would try to talk to Sony first before doing anything. You could try System Restore but I would talk to Sony Playstation technical support first

make sure you've tried rebooting the ps3. you could also try the restore option under system settings

I thought 1-800 numbers were good to call from anywhere but I maybe wrong.

By the way, did you make sure that region codings for the movie is from your region or compatible with your PS3?

problem solved ....

my PS3 doesn't play any discs anymore ... not even DVDs

so it looks like that my PS3 is broken. I am going to give it back to the seller today. hopefully it will be fixed

I guess stuff like this happening is normal in Slovakia and the whole eastern bloc.
