I'd love to see them do more slashers too. They've quickly become a top company for quality.
In other news, I read that To All a Goodnight is apparently on Comcast's On Demand section now with a nice transfer. There are annoying ads that cover the screen at certain points, but at least there's a nice transfer out there, which gives hope for an eventual release. On the topic of upgrades from DVD, I asked Severin on FB if Nightmares might hit Blu, but they said it's unlikely since it wasn't transferred in HD. I would love to see Arrow upgrade The Initiation to Blu some day. While I consider it more of a slow-burning mood piece than a slasher, I asked Synapse about releasing Next of Kin. They said they'd love to if they could find out who owns the rights. It slipped my mind previously, but another proto-slasher I'd add to my most wanted list is Run, Stranger, Run. It's a fine little film that I'd love to see get a nice release. Pretty sure Sony has it due to the tape I have. |
